Description

The Oris Big Crown ProPilot is inspired by the 1938 Big Crown, a pilot’s watch with an oversized crown made to be used with gloves. That crown is still the star of this 41mm stainless steel model. The blue sunray dial changes shade as the light moves across it, from deep navy to a brighter blue. Large Arabic numerals and luminous hands make it easy to read in any light. The Big Date window at 3 o’clock shows the date larger than a standard window, so you can read it at a glance. The fluted bezel and stainless steel bracelet give the watch a sturdy, sporty look that works with a suit or a t-shirt. The folding clasp is inspired by an aircraft seatbelt buckle. Inside, the automatic Oris Calibre 751 winds itself as you move your wrist and holds a 38-hour power reserve. The see-through caseback lets you watch the movement at work. Water resistant to 100 metres and Swiss Made, it is a well-built everyday automatic with real pilot’s watch heritage.
