The Timex Expedition Field TW2Y18100 brings a straightforward, no-nonsense approach to outdoor watches, built around a compact 39mm case finished in a matte black IP coating. Inside, a reliable quartz movement keeps consistent time with low-maintenance, battery-powered accuracy.
The black dial combines luminous baton indices and Arabic numerals with luminous hands, helping with visibility in low light and outdoor conditions. A discreet date window sits beside 3 o'clock, adding everyday practicality without disrupting the clean layout of the dial. A flat mineral glass crystal protects the dial from everyday scratches and knocks. The two-piece silicone strap is soft and flexible on the wrist, secured with a pin buckle and fitted with quick-release spring bars, so it can be swapped out in seconds without any tools if you want to change up the look.
At just 10mm thick, the watch sits comfortably under a shirt sleeve, and it's water resistant to 50 metres, suitable for splashes, rain, and showering, though not intended for swimming or diving. This piece suits anyone after a simple, dependable field watch that can handle daily wear and the occasional outdoor adventure, without asking for a premium price tag.
