Description
The King Seiko VANAC HKF002J, named "Tokyo Highway," draws its dial design from Tokyo's vast network of elevated expressways radiating from the city centre. It brings lightweight titanium construction to the fan-favourite VANAC collection, continuing its signature angular, bezel-less case design inspired by 1970s Tokyo style. Powering the watch is Seiko's automatic Calibre 8L45, offering manual winding and a 72-hour power reserve.
The 41mm titanium case measures 14.3mm thick with a compact 45.1mm lug-to-lug, and is approximately 40% lighter than an equivalent steel case for noticeably improved everyday comfort. The case alternates between flat brushed surfaces and wide polished facets, with titanium's naturally darker tone enhancing the contrast between finishes.
The silver dial features a three-dimensional horizontal pattern, with an accented octagonal fluted minute ring and a faceted, angular V-shaped marker at 12 o'clock — a nod to the VANAC name. LumiBrite-coated hands and indexes ensure legibility in low light, and a box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating sits atop the dial. A date window and screw-down crown complete the front of the watch, with the movement visible through a see-through, screw-down case back.
The watch is fitted with a matching titanium bracelet, secured by a three-fold clasp with push-button release. It's water resistant to 100 metres and rated to 4,800 A/m magnetic resistance.
