Description
The Seiko Presage HCC009J is a Tradman's Bonsai Limited Edition, one of only 2,000 pieces, created in collaboration with the Tokyo-based creative collective TRADMAN'S BONSAI. The dial takes its inspiration from a Japanese black pine illuminated by moonlight, with a matsuba-iro (pine needle green) textured surface recalling the bark of an aged pine tree.
Gold-toned applied indexes, polished alpha-shaped hands and a printed outer minute track complete the moonlit theme. Powering the watch is Seiko's automatic movement, offering hacking seconds, hand-winding and a 72-hour power reserve. The 38mm case is finished in gold-coloured PVD-coated stainless steel, with a coin-edged bezel and an oversized fluted crown. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface protects the dial, and the movement is visible through a sapphire exhibition case back.
The watch comes with both a seven-row gold-coloured PVD-coated stainless steel bracelet with a deployant clasp, and an additional leather strap embossed with the sanko-matsu pine needle motif, a traditional symbol of good fortune, paired with a gold-coloured steel deployant buckle. It's water resistant to 100 metres, and arrives presented in a wood presentation box with a branded polishing cloth.
