Description
The King Seiko VANAC SLA083J relaunches the original 1972 VANAC design with a bold, angular case and a vivid blue-violet dial inspired by twilight stretching across the Tokyo skyline.
A three-dimensional horizontal pattern gives the dial genuine depth, paired with a gold V-shaped index at 12 o'clock and a matching seconds hand, both nods to the VANAC name. Powering the watch is Seiko's automatic Calibre 8L45, based on Grand Seiko's 9S65 architecture, offering hacking seconds, hand-winding and a 72-hour power reserve. The 41mm stainless steel case combines mirror and hairline finishing, a hallmark of the original King Seiko models, and is topped with a box-shaped sapphire crystal featuring anti-reflective coating on the inner surface.
The recessed crown is adorned with the King Seiko crest, and the movement is visible through a screw-down, see-through case back. The watch is fitted with a matching stainless steel bracelet, featuring two levers on the end-piece for easy removal, and secured with a deployment clasp with push-button release. It's water resistant to 100 metres (10 bar).
