Seiko Presage Automatic 38mm Watch HCC008J

The Seiko Presage HCC008J is a Tomioka Silk Promotion Organization Limited Edition, one of only 2,000 pieces produced, with a portion of proceeds supporting the preservation of the sericulture and silk industry in Japan's Tomioka region. The curved, pure white "shironeri" dial employs a dramatic wave pattern and a pearl-painted finish, capturing the delicate texture and translucency of Gunma-Hoso, a rare and prized silk variety. Powering the watch is Seiko's automatic Calibre 6R51, offering manual winding, a 72-hour power reserve and a 24-jewel movement beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour. The 38mm stainless steel case is finished in a pink-gold-coloured plating, measuring 12.9mm thick with a 43.8mm lug-to-lug for a balanced, wearable dress-watch fit. The movement is visible through a screw-down, see-through case back, with each individual serial number engraved on the case back itself. The watch is fitted with a dark brown leather strap, inspired by the elegant brick façade of the historic Tomioka Silk Mill. It's water resistant to 100 metres.
