Description
The Seiko Prospex SNJ025P is a solar-powered diver’s watch with both analogue hands and a digital display, so you can read the time at a glance and still get the extra functions when you need them. It charges from any light source, runs for around six months on a full charge, and never needs a battery change. It’s a big, bold watch. The case measures 47.8mm across and 50.5mm lug to lug, and the 22mm silicone strap keeps it comfortable and lightweight at 114g. The case is stainless steel with plastic detailing, and the black silicone strap is flexible enough to fit over a wetsuit. Water resistance is rated to 200 metres, so it’s suitable for swimming, snorkelling and recreational diving. The one-way rotating bezel tracks elapsed dive time, and the screw-down crown and buttons help keep water out. LumiBrite on the hands and hour markers keeps it readable in low light or underwater. Day-to-day features include a daily alarm, a stopwatch that measures up to 99 hours in 1/100-second steps, a second time zone display and a calendar that adjusts automatically for short months and leap years through to 2100. It’s a practical choice for anyone who wants a rugged watch that does more than tell the time.
