Description
The Luminox RECON Nav Spec XL.8833 is a rugged outdoor watch designed to help you find your way. It was developed with tactical specialist Andrea Micheli, a former Swiss Army specialist, and it's built as a complete navigation tool. The black rubber strap features built-in map scales and ruler markings, plus a detachable compass, so you can read a map and check your direction without carrying extra gear. The black dial has white numerals showing both 12-hour and 24-hour time, while blue highlights on the 9 to 12 markers and the seconds hand add a striking touch of colour.
The 46mm case is made from CARBONOX™, a carbon-based material developed by Luminox that is ultra-light yet extremely durable, so the watch stays comfortable even at this size. A one-way rotating bezel with a two-tone aluminium insert lets you track elapsed time, and a GMT function lets you follow a second time zone, which is handy for travel or keeping in touch with home. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, and with 200m water resistance, it's ready for swimming and water sports as well as time outdoors. Like every Luminox watch, it features Luminox Light Technology. Tiny self-powered tritium tubes glow constantly for up to 25 years, so you can read the time in complete darkness without pressing a button or charging the glow in sunlight. A Swiss quartz GMT movement keeps accurate time with a long-lasting battery.
