It began with Wallace Bishop Senior and his wife, May, who brought her delicate enamelling skills from England. Together, they created the first Bluebird, inspired by the folklore that the bluebird brings happiness and good fortune

Following World War II, Wallace Bishop & Son designed and crafted the Bluebird of Happiness brooch, gifting it to thousands
of children as a symbol of hope in difficult times. For many, it was their first piece of jewellery—given by someone who loved them.

To this day, people share their cherished bluebird stories, passing down these special pieces through generations.

We are proud to continue this beautiful tradition, keeping the joy of the Bluebird alive for new hearts and new memories.
